Allergan Pharmaceutical International Limited has received final approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration for Norethindrone acetate and Ethinyl estradiol and ferrous fumarate capsules (1mg/20mcg) from Allergan Pharmaceuticals International Limited. The Ethinyl estradiol and norethindrone acetate combination is used to prevent pregnancy and is a birth control pill that contains 2 types of hormones.

The drugs are the generic versions of Taytulla capsules by Allergan Pharmaceuticals International Ltd. Citing IQVIA sales data for the 12 months ended May 2022, the company said the Taytulla Capsules market achieved annual sales of approximately USD 85.9 million.
